Print Fundraising’s grommeted blank product samples are meant to be a tool to help your chapter understand your available product line and determine which products you like and those you do not. Our grommeted samples are our 30 best-selling products, and they will illustrate the differences between them in color, fit, feel and more.
Print Fundraising primarily sells four brands of products: Gildan, Port & Company, District Made, and Sport Tek. Gildan and Port & Company have nearly identical product lines when it comes to the price, fit, styles, and the amount of colors available. The primary difference between the two are the shades of colors. District and District Made are typically slightly more expensive shirts, as they are of higher quality. Sport Tek shirts are more of a performance wear line, primarily made up of polyester and other synthetic materials.
The most common product that you will print are t-shirts. T-shirts come in a wide range in terms of both price and quality, so we have divided them into three levels of quality: Good, Better, and Best. The price for each type of shirt is roughly the same for each level. Value shirts start out at $2.25, better shirts are around $3.50, and the best t-shirts are around $5.00 each. It is a good idea to choose a go-to for each level of quality.
First, there are our “Good” t-shirts. There are essentially 3 Gildan and 3 Port & Company value shirts that are all $2.25 each. All 6 shirts have between 25-40 available colors, but each shirt has a different weight.
Next, you have the Port & Company Adult Essential T-Shirt (PC61). This shirt is a 6.1oz 100% cotton shirt. As you can see, the shirt is called PC61 because it is a Port & Company 6.1 oz shirt. The weight of the shirt is determined by the weight of one square yard of fabric, not necessarily the weight of the shirt itself. The next shirt is the Port & Company Core Cotton Tee (PC54), which is slightly lighter than the PC61, and slightly softer as well. The Port & Company Core Blend Tee (PC55), is a 50/50 blend t-shirt made of cotton and polyester fabric. Blended shirts are often softer than 100% cotton shirts, so this may be an attractive option.
The first Gildan t-shirt is the Ultra Cotton Tee (2000), which is a 6.1oz t-shirt very similar to the PC61. Next you have the Gildan Heavy Cotton Tee (5000), which is a 5.4oz t-shirt that compares favorably to the PC54. Lastly you have the Gildan Ultra Blend (8000), which is a 5.6oz 50/50 t-shirt like the PC55. As you can see, both brands have very similar styles and shirt weights. Which shirt or brand your prefer really comes down to personal preference.
Once you have an understanding of the different value t-shirts you will have an idea of how our ladies and youth shirts fit and feel, as they are the same fabric, just with different cuts. Also, the majority of Print Fundraising’s special-cut and long sleeve shirts fit and feel similar to our value shirts, but they of course have a different cut as well. The following special cuts are offered in a PC54 weight & cut: Ringer, Pocket, V-Neck, Camo, and long sleeve t-shirt. We also offer the Gildan Ultra Cotton in both sleeveless and long sleeve cuts.
Next, let us take a look at a few of Print Fundraising’s “Better” t-shirts. First you have the Port & Company Ring Spun Tee (PC150). This shirt weighs 5.5oz, is available in 22 colors, made of soft cotton, and costs $3.00. Next we have the Port & Company Fan Favorite Tee (PC450), which is similar to the PC150 in that it costs $3, is 100% cotton, and has a similar fit. However, the PC450 weighs one ounce less, at 4.5oz. The shirt is available in 31 colors that are dyed to closely resembled popular college athletics colors. Next we have the Port & Company Performance T-Shirt (PC381), which is made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This unique blend of cotton and polyester makes this 4.5oz shirt very soft and is available in 14 colors. The last “Better” t-shirt we are going to talk about is the District Young Mens Very Important Tee (DT6000). This shirt is 4.3oz and is made of 100% soft cotton material, though the 10 heathered colors are made of 50% cotton, 50% polyester. This shirt has a slightly slimmer fit and comes in 30 beautiful colors. We offer the same type of shirt in a juniors crew and v-neck cut t-shirt, which are DT6001 and DT6501.
Finally, let us talk about Print Fundraising’s “Best” quality t-shirts. First you have the District Made Perfect Weight Crew Tee (DT104). This shirt weighs 4.3oz, is made of 100% cotton, and comes in 19 colors. Next, we have the District Made Perfect Blend Tee (DM108), which is a 50% cotton, 50% polyester shirt that comes in 12 colors. Just like the DT104, the DM108 is 4.3oz and has a slightly larger fit. Lastly, we have the District Made Perfect Tri-blend Crew Tee (DM130). This shirt is amazingly soft due to it being made of 50% polyester, 25% cotton, and 25% rayon. This shirt comes in 10 colors and is available in a men's ¾ baseball cut, as well as a ladies crew, v-neck, and tank top cut.
In addition to Print Fundraising’s cotton and cotton-blend t-shirts, we also offer performance polyester shirts. These performance shirts are geared towards athletic use, and they wick away moisture. The first performance product is the Sport Tek Unisex Poly T-Shirt (ST350), which comes in a wide variety of colors. This same shirt is available in female and youth cuts, and as a long sleeve in all 3 styles. The Sport Tek Unisex Colorblock Poly T-Shirt (ST351) is the exact same shirt, but it has a second color and comes in a female cut. The Sport Tek Unisex Heather Poly T-Shirt (ST360) is the same weight as the other two shirts, but is slightly softer because it is heathered. The ST360 is available in both youth cuts, female cuts, and in long sleeve. Not included in the grommeted sample kit is the ST361, which is the same shirt, but is a 2 color block very similar to the ST351. The ST361 is available in youth and female cuts, as well as long sleeve for all 3 cuts. The last performance shirt included in our kit is the Sport Tek Unisex Racermesh Poly T-Shirt (ST340), which is woven into a soft and small mesh. The ST340 is also available as a youth, ladies, and long sleeve. It is important to remember that performance fabrics are much more difficult to print, and certain steps must be take in order to deliver a high quality finished product.
As you can see, we offer a wide range of t-shirts that should satisfy both you and your clients. It is important that you understand the differences in the shirts so that you can communicate the information to your customers.
Now I would like to talk about a few different styles of sweatshirts that we offer. First you have the Gildan Heavy Blend Hooded Sweatshirt (18500), which weight 8 oz, and comes in 32 colors. We also have the Port & Company Core Fleece Hooded Sweatshirt (PC78), which weighs 7.8oz, and comes in 46 colors. Both the Gildan 18500 and Port & Company PC78 are made of 50% cotton, 50% polyester and come in a wide variety of cuts, including adult crew and zip up hoodies, as well as youth crew, hoodie, and zip up. The last sweatshirt that we will talk about is the Sport Tek Hooded Sweatshirt with Contrast Color (F264). This sweatshirt is made of 65% cotton and 35% polyester, weighs 9 oz, and comes in 9 colors.
The last products to talk about are our printable accessories. There are two very easy products to print that we highly suggest you consider. The first is the Port & Company Rally Towel (PT38) which comes in 15 colors. The other is the Port & Company Sweatshirt Cling Bag (BG614), which comes in 12 colors. These are both very popular with students!
So, those are our best-selling products, which also come in our grommeted sample kit. We hope that this has helped you better understand the available products that you can offer your customers. If you have any other questions please visit our website, send us an email, or give us a call.
