The cutter does its job by moving the material forward and backwards while a blade moves laterally and pushes down on the media to cut a design. Once a design has been cut, the extra media must be removed from its backing by a method called “weeding.” Once the vinyl has been weeded, it can then be applied to the product it is meant for. Most heat transfer vinyl media can actually be applied successfully at both low and high temperatures, allowing them to be printed onto a wide range of products.
