It is important when cutting vinyl and other heat transfer materials that the cutting machine be set to the correct cutting speed. Each material has a suggested cutting speed which helps produce the best possible cut of the material. Most materials cut well at speeds around 50 centimeters per second (cm/s), while others require the speed to be set as low as 25 cm/s. Refer to our heat transfer material application guides to determine the correct cutting speed for the material and design being cut.
To change the cutting speed, simply press the menu button twice (the media must
already be loaded onto the machine). Then, press the down arrow once to take you to “Condition.” From here, press the right arrow key. Next, press the down arrow key until you get to “Speed.” Once you are on “Speed,” hit the right arrow key. Now, change the cutting speed using the top and bottom arrows. Once you have the speed set, press the “Enter” button to save it.
